There are special considerations to take into account if youâre shooting RAW and you want to be sure that youâre getting a proper exposure You wouldnât think changing image capture from film to digital photography would require a new way to think about exposure, but it may, depending on how you use your digital camera. This is because a digital camera sensor behaves quite differently from how film and our human visual system respond to light intensity. Digital cameras record data in a linear fashion.

I have been where you are. by Davin Risk (Book) in Arts & Photography : Photography is an emotional and intuitive process for me. Scenes, objects, and the subtleties of light and colour are like emotional bookmarks. The images act as stand-ins for my experience and hopefully extend it for others to find their own emotions and memories. I see many of my images as shared fragments of other peopleâs lives â the traces that people leave behind which form subjective narratives. Iâve called them âlittle storiesâ in the past. They arenât the story of someoneâs life but maybe the slightest description of a passing thought. This book is a non-linear collection of images taken between 2004 and 2006. Most photos have been shown on my website lowresolution.com. Davin Risk, January 2007
